Solid Lines Productions is excited to announce an open call for people interested in directing staged readings! Solid Lines Productions aims to foster community dialogue through theatre about socially-relevant issues. We seek people with theatrical (though not necessarily directorial) experience who also seek to foster meaningful dialogue in the community. Produced scripts will be determined as a joint effort between guest directors, the Solid Lines Productions Executive Creative Council, and Executive Director Chris LaBanca. Directors will be compensated for their work.

We desire, through our staged reading series, to explore a range of issues that affect the greater Saint Louis community, as well as to explore a variety of voices to contribute to these vital conversations. We seek diversity with regards to socio-economic background, theatrical experience, race, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or national origin. We seek directors who have and will exercise the same values regarding diversity when auditioning and casting actors for Solid Lines Productions.

These staged readings will occur during our 2018-2019 season (which runs from September 2018 through August 2019). We would like directors for our 2018-2019 season to be set by February 1, 2018 so that we can announce our season in April and hold auditions in May. Therefore, please e-mail your resume and a letter of interest to by January 8, 2017. If you have never before directed a play, a resume of your prior theatrical experience (performing, designing, and technical experience are all welcome!) is perfectly wonderful.
